OK, so I went down to Austin, TX to visit some family.  I am staying at the Days Inn near I-35 and hwy 183.  Anyway after going out to grab a bite to eat, we arrived here to a missing vehicle. . .

 

It has been stolen!

 

I have made a police report but if you happen to be in the area and see a white 1984 Chevy S-10 Blazer Oklahoma License PLEASE report it to the police!!!

 

I am about 6 hours away form home at this point and stuck here for a while unless I can get it back.

 

I would really appreciate any help that may be out there.

 

 

Update!!!!    Received a call from the Austin Police department last night about 10:00 PM

Vehicle has been recovered, I was allowed to pick it up four people were inside and driving at the time.  They all went to jail but the drivers window has been busted the dash has been ripped apart stereo missing along with my tools and a speakerbox and two amplifiers.  Some other misc things are also gone but have to make up an inverntory.  Left last night around 1 am after making a temporary window.  Arrived home about 7:30 am sleepy as hell but safe.  

 

A special thanks to those people who have helped to recover the vehicle and for not impounding it. . . another 150 for getting robbed would have been even worse, lol.  

Ok, so this is posted a day or so late but WoW:Wrath of the Litch King is out for public gameplay.

 Now if you are like me you have been running around doing tons of stuff and barely had time to install and upgrade let alone play much.  But it seems pretty cool and I did get a Death Knight to level 58 and dropped my 70 warrior in northrend so when I get a chance to sit down and play it shouldn't take me long to get leveled.

 

But it was fun to get a copy of the game I was unable to sign up for the collectors edition but luckily Wal-mart gets in six of them for the release, they also got in six collectors editions of the Burning Crusade so I have gotten super lucky so far.

World of Warcaft patches to 3.02 today!!

 

Ok, got up to see what the client was going to do ya know download a little more and patch or just sit there.  Well looks like Blizzard decided to update today almost exactly 1 month ahead of the WOTLK release date.  So it's official, or might as well be the client will again take on a change like when 2.0 came out.  I am guessing that we will all be able to explore the new area of stormwind and any other area's in the original area's but travel to Northrend will be impossible until you install and upgrade to the new client.  Anyway if your interested in a trial do me a favor send me your name and e-mail address in a private message here and I will do my best to get a trial sent out.  Now I know that you can just go to the World of Warcraft site and get one, but hey why not hook me up with a free month as well?  LOL

 

Anyway looks like some major changes are going to stay on schedule unlike when the BC's release date was pushed back multiple times.  Also a lot of addons will either cease to work or become irrelevant.  Hopefully these will be good things unlike the implementation of the voice system in game which in my opinion is very poor audio quality and actually takes more resources than ventrilo.  I guess time will tell.

Well I have been trying out a new game called Combat Arms and I have to say it really is pretty fun.  Best of all it is FREE!!!!!!  Now this isn't free like you can play the game a little bit and then pay afterwards or it's free to play if you buy the client.  I am saying you download the client free, approx 500Mb, and play for free.

And you don't have to worry about only being able to have a knife or handgun and everyone else who does pay has an uber lightning rifle that will kill with a glancing blow from across the map like some "free" games have setup.  All weapons are picked up through an in game game point system that you earn by playing.  The in game ranking system isn't bad either it doesn't allow the newest people to have the best weapons and hear but rather gets people to play so they can get upgraded gear that can be purchased with game points.

Well for a little over an hour tonight their was an outage for all the websites that I deal with as well as most of my Ventrilo servers.  This was not an isolated problem as many other websites were down such as www.speakeasy.net which is a rather large web host and ISP that has a speedtest that I use quite often when working on internet connections.

 

So it may seem that some network repairs may have taken place that affected some rather large area's of the country.

Well it's official the VentShop Hosting Service is now live. 

We are currently hosting websites for five domains total, including our own, and have sites in the works for two more.  So we figured it was about time to get our hosting site up and running.  So feel free to check it out and if you are interested in a site of your own let us know.  We will do the best we can to make it work for you.

 

On the morning of Saturday, April 5th, starting at approximately 12AM CST, we will be conducting very minor power equipment upgrades to our Dallas location. The maintenance will take no longer than one hour, with minimal downtime expected within the time frame. Clients in other locations will not be effected, and not all Dallas services will be interrupted.

Well for some of you who know Both Ms. NightShade and I you may know that her birthday is today 3-31-08. But for anyone else now you do know. So stop by the forums and feel free to wish her a Happy Birthday

We have been hosting and designing a few websites for the last couple of months now and have actually been hosting one since the very beginning of our days almost two years ago.  Now we have started picking up a few more domains and increasing the exposure we have on the net.

You may be asking yourself ok I am here to check out a couple things so why is this a big deal.  Well here is your answer, when we get to the point that we have enough websites hosted we are going to pickup a dedicated box for a game server.  Ventshop ventrilo server hosting and webhosting  will bring in most of the income for the servers and in turn the game servers will help to sponsor the ventrilo and web hosting.  So does that sound good to you gamers out there looking for some place to play?

If it does keep checking back because within a few months we see this becoming a reality and we will be looking for people who are responsible and dedicated to join our team.  And if you are interested in helping us increase our forums you can begin helping us now.  We will be posting an application for positions online soon and all you will have to do is fill out the info, have an interview and show us that you are responsible and dedicated to helping people.

We will likely be partnering with a lot of different people to make this work and sorry to say that positions will not be paid at this time, but anything can happen. 

Finally you may be saying to yourself ok, so how much are you making on top of all of this.  The answer is not much.  I didn't start this site to make a ton of money or be come a super famous web personality.  I started ventrilo hosting because I game online and new a few people who wanted servers but didn't want to get them from some company they didn't know and people they couldn't trust.  There have been a few ups and downs but everything is starting to pick up pretty well and all along it has been my dream to have my work here sponsor a few game servers.  Right now the company is seeing a profit and soon the line that shows red every month will begin to turn black, we have lost some money especially in the beginning.  And when our monthly profit is up to the point that it will cover all of our base costs (Web hosting server and ventrilo hosting server rentals) and the costs of a dedicated game server (approx. 175.00 per month to begin with) We will begin the process of starting a game server for everyone to start getting together on.  So the big answer to how much are you making on top of all of this is hopefully enough to buy a couple cups of coffee each month and that will be about it.

 

I enjoy playing CounterStrike:Source, Call of Duty 2 and World of Warcraft and my wife enjoys playing Battlefield 1942 as well as World of Warcraft.  So I can guarantee that Battlefield 1942 and CounterStrike:Source will be games that are included in the game servers list.  I am sure there will be quite a few more but WE WANT YOUR INPUT.  There are a ton of games out there and we will need people who are ready and willing to help us out in managing the game servers.  The people who's applications are approved will be added to our staff here and will have a big piece of input on what games we will begin running but the ultimate choice is up to the people who will be playing on the server.  So get registered here and tell us in the forum, because even though we try we can not read minds yet.
